Ingredients:
For the Burger Patties:
1 lb (450 g) ground beef (preferably 80% lean, 20% fat)
Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Special Sauce:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
For the Tacos:
6 small flour tortillas
1 cup shredded lettuce
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Dill pickle slices
Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
Prepare the Special Sauce:
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, sweet pickle relish, white vinegar, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika.
Mix well until smooth. Set aside.
Cook the Burger Patties:
Divide the ground beef into 6 equal portions and roll them into balls.
Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
Place a ball of ground beef on the skillet and smash it down with a spatula to form a thin patty. Season with salt and pepper.
Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until browned and cooked through.
Repeat with the remaining ground beef balls.
Assemble the Tacos:
Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
Spread a generous amount of special sauce on each tortilla.
Place a cooked burger patty on each tortilla.
Top with shredded lettuce, finely chopped onions, shredded cheddar cheese, and dill pickle slices.
Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for a true Big Mac feel (optional).
Serve:
Serve the Big Mac-style smash burger tacos immediately with extra special sauce on the side.
