1 cup granulated sugar
3 large egg yolks
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Prepare the Cheesecake Center:

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
Add the sugar and vanilla extract, and beat until well combined.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Stir in the sour cream until smooth. Set aside.
Prepare the Cake Batter:

Carefully spoon the cheesecake mixture over the cake batter, spreading it evenly to cover.
Pour the remaining cake batter over the cheesecake layer, spreading it out to cover the cheesecake mixture.
Bake the Cake:

Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Make the Frosting:

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the evaporated milk, sugar, egg yolks, and butter.
Stir constantly until the mixture thickens, about 10-12 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract, shredded coconut, and chopped pecans.
Let the frosting cool to room temperature.
Frost the Cake:

Once the cake has cooled completely, spread the coconut pecan frosting evenly over the top and sides of the cake.
