Ingredients:
1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
1/2 cup marinara sauce
1/2 lb sliced mozzarella cheese
1/4 lb sliced pepperoni
1/4 lb sliced ham
1/4 lb sliced salami
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Fresh basil, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 12×14 inches.
Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
Layer the mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, ham, and salami over the sauce.
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning on top.
Starting from one of the long edges, carefully roll the dough into a tight log, tucking in the ends as you go.
Place the stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Brush the top with the beaten egg to give it a golden finish.
Using a sharp knife, make a few slits on top of the stromboli to allow steam to escape.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the stromboli is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
