German Potato Pancakes

These German potato pancakes are a pleasant change from common pancakes. They make a fantastic dinner meal when served with Bratwurst sausage. I unfold mine with cranberry sauce and prime with maple syrup.

Components

  • 2 giant eggs
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salut
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 6 medium potatoes, peeled and shredded
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil

How To Make German Potato Pancakes

  1. Beat eggs, flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper collectively in a big bowl; stir in potatoes and onion.
  2. Warmth oil in a big skillet over medium warmth. Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of potato combination into sizzling oil in batches. Press to flatten. Cook dinner till browned and crisp, about 3 minutes on all sides. Switch to a paper towel-lined plate to empty. Repeat with remaining potato combination.
