Crispy Parmesan-Crusted Chicken with Creamy Garlic Parmesan Sauce
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan (for sauce)
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line with parchment paper.
In a shallow dish, combine Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off any excess. Dip into beaten eggs, then coat with the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture, pressing it onto the chicken.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden and crispy.
Transfer the chicken to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
While the chicken is baking, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan, whisking until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat.
Drizzle the creamy garlic Parmesan sauce over the crispy chicken. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve hot.
