Cheddar Bacon Chicken Tenders

Ingredients:

1 lb chicken tenders
1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
6 slices bacon (cooked and crumbled)
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/2 cup flour
2 large eggs (beaten)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
Cooking spray or oil (for baking)

Instructions:

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with oil.
Prepare Coating: In a bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs, cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Set up Breading Station: Place the flour in a shallow dish, the beaten eggs in another dish, and the cheddar-bacon mixture in a third dish.
Bread the Chicken: Coat each chicken tender in flour, dip it into the eggs, then press it into the cheddar-bacon mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated.
Bake: Place the breaded chicken tenders on the prepared baking sheet. Spray with cooking oil for extra crispiness. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden and the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F or 74°C).
Serve: Let cool for a few minutes, then serve with your favorite dipping sauces.
