Sloppy Joe Bubble Up Casserole
This Sloppy Joe Bubble Up Casserole is a fun and delicious twist on the classic sandwich. Made with biscuit dough, seasoned beef, and gooey melted cheese, this casserole is a perfect family-friendly meal that’s quick and easy to prepare.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
1 can (15 oz) sloppy joe sauce
1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough, cut into quarters
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil (for sautéing)
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil, ground beef, onion, and green bell pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and the vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
Stir in the sloppy joe sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Place the quartered biscuit dough evenly in the greased baking dish.
Pour the sloppy joe mixture over the biscuit dough, ensuring the pieces are well-coated.
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden and cooked through, and the cheese is bubbly.
