The Garlic Parmesan Pork Chops with Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes
Ingredients:
Pork Chops: 4 pieces
Garlic: 4 cloves, minced
Parmesan Cheese: ¼ cup, grated
Olive Oil: 2 tbsp
Thyme: 1 tsp, dried
Potatoes: 4 cups, thinly sliced
Cheddar Cheese: 1 cup, shredded
Heavy Cream: 1 cup
Salt & Pepper: To taste
Instructions:
Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Season Pork Chops: Combine minced garlic, grated Parmesan, salt, and pepper. Rub the mixture onto the pork chops.
Brown the Chops: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Cook the pork chops until golden brown, about 4 minutes on each side.
Prepare Potatoes: In a baking dish, lay out the sliced potatoes.
Cheese Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream and shredded cheddar. Pour this over the potatoes.
Assemble Dish: Place the browned pork chops on top of the creamy potatoes.
Bake: Cook in the oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the potatoes are soft and the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
