Pioneer Woman Cheeseburger Pie
A hearty and comforting dish, this Cheeseburger Pie combines seasoned ground beef and melty cheese, all baked in a savory crust-like batter for a slice of pure cheeseburger bliss!
Ingredients:
1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)
1 pound ground beef
½ tsp salt
Ground black pepper, to taste
Garlic powder, to taste (optional)
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
½ cup Original Bisquick mix (or all-purpose flour)
1 cup whole milk
2 large eggs
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Set the oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 9-inch pie plate with vegetable oil.
Cook the Beef:
Heat oil in a skillet and sauté the chopped onion for 3 minutes until softened.
Add the ground beef and cook for about 10 minutes until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
Drain the excess fat, then season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder (optional).
Assemble the Pie:
Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly into the pie plate.
Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese over the beef.
Prepare the Batter:
In a small bowl, whisk together the Bisquick mix, milk, and eggs until well combined.
Pour the batter evenly over the beef and cheese layers.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the pie cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
