Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground pork
1 egg
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 box (8 oz) macaroni
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder (optional)

Directions:

Prepare the Meatloaf Base:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, mix ground beef, ground pork, egg, breadcrumbs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Press the mixture into a greased casserole dish to form the meatloaf base.

Cook the Macaroni:
Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Make the Cheese Sauce:
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour to make a roux and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add mustard powder (if using). Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until smooth.

Assemble the Casserole:
Spread the cooked macaroni on top of the meatloaf base. Pour the cheese sauce evenly over the macaroni. Sprinkle additional cheese on top if desired.

Bake:
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the top is golden and bubbly. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
