Pizza Burger Pie
This Pizza Burger Pie combines the best of both worlds—a pizza and a burger—in one mouthwatering dish! It’s a family favorite that brings everyone together for a fun and flavorful meal. Perfect for game nights or any casual gathering, this pie will have everyone coming back for seconds!
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
1 can (14 oz) pizza sauce
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 package refrigerated pizza dough (or crescent roll dough)
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Cook the Beef:
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef along with the chopped onion and bell pepper until the meat is no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
Add Sauce and Seasonings:
Stir in the pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
Prepare the Dough:
Roll out the pizza dough in a greased pie dish, pressing it into the bottom and up the sides.
Layer the Filling:
Pour the beef mixture into the dough-lined pie dish. Sprinkle the mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top.
Cover with Dough:
If using pizza dough, roll out another layer to cover the top. If using crescent roll dough, pinch the seams together to create a layer over the filling.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
Cool and Serve:
Allow to cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm!
