Garlic Ranch Chicken and Sausage Cheesy Potatoes
A crockpot meal that brings together creamy garlic ranch flavors, tender chicken, smoked sausage, and cheesy potatoes for a hearty, crowd-pleasing dish.
Ingredients:
1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
1 lb chicken breasts, diced
2 bell peppers, sliced
1 onion, diced
1 bag frozen shredded hash browns (regular size)
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1 can cheddar cheese soup
1/2 cup sour cream
1 packet ranch seasoning
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for extra depth)
1 tsp garlic powder (or minced garlic)
1 1/2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend of cheddar and mozzarella)
Directions:
In a hot skillet, sauté the diced chicken, sliced smoked sausage, bell peppers, and onion until the sausage is browned, the chicken is cooked through, and the vegetables are slightly softened. Optional but highly recommended for extra flavor.
Transfer the sautéed mixture to a crockpot. Add the frozen shredded hash browns, heavy whipping cream, cheddar cheese soup, sour cream, ranch seasoning packet, garlic powder, grated Parmesan, and shredded cheese.
Stir the mixture well to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed.
Cover the crockpot and cook on high for 2 hours or on low for 4 hours, until the potatoes are tender, and the cheese has melted into a creamy, savory sauce.
Stir again before serving, and garnish with chopped parsley or chives if desired for a fresh touch.
Serve hot and enjoy this comforting and cheesy dish with both chicken and smoked sausage!
