Frozen Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bites

These Frozen Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bites are a perfect bite-sized treat that combines creamy peanut butter, ripe bananas, and rich chocolate for a refreshing and satisfying dessert!

Ingredients:

3 ripe bananas
½ cup creamy peanut butter
1 ½ cups semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)
Sea salt (optional, for sprinkling)

Directions:

1. Prepare the Bananas:

Peel the bananas and slice them into ¼-inch thick rounds.
Pair up the slices to make little banana “sandwiches.”

2. Add the Peanut Butter:

Spread about ½ teaspoon of peanut butter between each pair of banana slices.
Place the peanut butter banana sandwiches on a parchment-lined baking sheet or plate.

3. Freeze the Banana Sandwiches:

Freeze the banana sandwiches for about 30 minutes or until firm.

4. Melt the Chocolate:

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using) in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate using a double boiler on the stove.

5. Dip the Frozen Bites:

Remove the frozen banana sandwiches from the freezer.
Using a fork or toothpick, dip each banana sandwich into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated.
Place the chocolate-dipped bites back onto the parchment-lined sheet.

6. Optional Toppings:

Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each bite for a sweet-salty combination, or add other toppings like crushed nuts, shredded coconut, or sprinkles.

7. Freeze Again:

Freeze the chocolate-covered banana bites for another 20-30 minutes, or until the chocolate is fully set.

Enjoy!

Once fully frozen, enjoy these Frozen Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bites as a cool, sweet treat! Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for a quick snack anytime.
