If you love bacon cheeseburgers and pasta, this recipe brings the best of both worlds into one delicious dish! Loaded with ground beef, crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, and pasta, this is the ultimate comfort food for family dinners or game day gatherings.
Ingredients:
12 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or elbow macaroni)
1 lb ground beef
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes (drained)
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
1. Cook the Pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. Cook the Bacon:
In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the pan, crumble, and set aside. Drain most of the bacon fat, leaving about 1 tablespoon in the skillet.
3. Sauté the Ground Beef:
In the same skillet, add the ground beef and chopped onion. Cook over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
4. Add Flavorings:
Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and smoked paprika. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes to thicken slightly.
5. Combine with Pasta:
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and mix everything together. Stir in half of the cheddar cheese and mozzarella, letting it melt into the dish.
6. Top with Bacon and Cheese:
Sprinkle the crumbled bacon and the remaining cheddar and mozzarella on top of the pasta mixture. Cover and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and gooey.
7. Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve hot!
