Longhorn Steakhouse-Inspired Parmesan Crusted Chicken
Enjoy a delicious, juicy, Parmesan-crusted chicken dish inspired by Longhorn Steakhouse! This recipe recreates the tender chicken topped with a creamy, cheesy Parmesan crust.
Ingredients:
Chicken Breasts: 4 boneless, skinless (pound to an even thickness)
Olive Oil: 2 tbsp
Salt: 1 tsp
Pepper: 1/2 tsp
Garlic Powder: 1 tsp
Paprika: 1/2 tsp
Parmesan Crust Topping:
Mayonnaise: 1/2 cup
Parmesan Cheese: 1/2 cup, shredded
Provolone Cheese: 1/4 cup, shredded
Panko Breadcrumbs: 1/4 cup
Butter: 1 tbsp, melted
Garlic Powder: 1/4 tsp
Fresh Parsley or Chives: For garnish
Directions:
Prepare the Chicken:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Rub both sides of each chicken breast with olive oil, then season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Cook the Chicken:
In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear each chicken breast for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
Make the Parmesan Topping:
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, provolone cheese, and garlic powder.
In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter with the panko breadcrumbs.
Top the Chicken:
Spoon the Parmesan mixture over each chicken breast, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the panko breadcrumb mixture on top for a crispy crust.
Bake:
Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until fully cooked and the topping is golden and bubbly.
