Rolls with Creamy Drizzle
Ingredients
For the Rolls:
8 slices of white bread, crusts removed
1/4 cup melted butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
For the Filling:
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Drizzle:
Sweetened condensed milk or caramel sauce (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Bread:
Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin.
2. Make the Filling:
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
Spread a thin layer of filling on each bread slice, then roll tightly.
3. Coat the Rolls:
Brush each roll with melted butter.
In a separate bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar, then roll each bread roll in the mixture to coat.
4. Bake or Fry:
To Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place rolls on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden.
To Fry: Fry rolls in hot oil until golden brown, then drain on paper towels.
5. Add Drizzle:
Drizzle sweetened condensed milk or caramel sauce over the warm rolls.
