Ribeye Steak
Ingredients:
2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
3-4 cloves garlic, crushed
2-3 sprigs fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)
Instructions:
Pat steaks dry and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat olive oil or butter in a cast-iron skillet over high heat until hot.
Sear each side of the steak for 3-4 minutes (for medium-rare), pressing down to get a good crust.
Add garlic and herbs to the pan; spoon the oil over the steaks for extra flavor.
Remove from heat, let rest for 5 minutes, and serve warm.
Notes:
Adjust cook time for preferred doneness.
