Sizzling Chinese Pepper Steak with Onions
Ingredients:
1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
2 tbsp soy sauce (low-sodium recommended)
1 tbsp cornstarch
3 tbsp vegetable oil, divided
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 medium onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp ginger, minced
½ cup beef broth
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Toss sliced beef with soy sauce and cornstarch; let it marinate for 15 minutes.
Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan over medium-high heat, cook the beef until browned, then set aside.
In the same pan, add remaining oil and sauté bell peppers, onions, garlic, and ginger until tender.
Return beef to the pan, add beef broth, oyster sauce, and sugar; stir and cook until sauce thickens.
Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot!
Notes:
Serve with steamed rice for a complete meal, or add extra veggies for more flavor!
