Skillet Chicken with Mushrooms in Asiago Sauce
Ingredients:
1 lb chicken breasts, sliced
2 cups mushrooms, sliced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup Asiago cheese, grated
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
Olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add mushrooms and garlic. Sauté until mushrooms are tender.
Stir in heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and Asiago cheese. Cook until sauce is thickened.
Return chicken to the skillet, mixing to coat in sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
Serve hot, perfect over rice or pasta.
