Cheesy Pizza Burger Bake
Ingredients
1 package pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
1 lb ground beef
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup cooked and crumbled chicken or beef sausage (optional, substitute for bacon)
1/2 cup pepperoni slices
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup sliced bell peppers
1/4 cup sliced pickles (optional)
1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)
Instructions
Preheat Oven: Set oven to 425°F (220°C).
Cook Ground Beef: Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Roll Out Dough: Roll the pizza dough on a floured surface into a circle large enough to fit a greased pie or baking dish, leaving some overhang.
Assemble the Bake:
Place the dough into the baking dish, allowing the edges to drape over.
Spread half of the pizza sauce over the base of the dough.
Layer ground beef, mozzarella cheese, cooked sausage (if using), pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, and pickles.
Spread the remaining pizza sauce and sprinkle with another layer of mozzarella cheese.
Fold and Seal: Fold the dough edges over the filling, pinching to seal. Brush with olive oil for a golden finish.
Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
Serve: Cool slightly, then slice and serve hot.
