Ground Beef and Gravy Over Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients
For the Beef and Gravy:
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cups beef broth
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Mashed Potatoes:
2 lbs potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Mashed Potatoes:
Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and mash.
Stir in milk, butter, salt, and pepper until creamy.
Beef and Gravy:
In a skillet, brown ground beef with onion over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
Push beef to the side, melt butter in the skillet, and stir in flour. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
Gradually whisk in beef broth. Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer until thickened.
Mix beef back into the gravy and simmer for 5 minutes.
Serve the savory beef and gravy over a bed of creamy mashed potatoes. Pure comfort on a plate!
