Deep Hamburger Sausage & Pepperoni Pie

This hearty, cheesy pie combines savory hamburger, sausage, and pepperoni in a flaky crust, creating a deliciously indulgent meal that’s perfect for pizza and comfort food lovers alike!

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

1/2 lb Italian sausage, casing removed

1/2 cup diced onion

1/2 cup diced green bell pepper

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup marinara or pizza sauce

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

1 package (9-inch) refrigerated pie crust (or homemade)

20 slices pepperoni

 Directions:

1 Preheat oven: Set to 375°F (190°C).

2 Prepare the filling:

In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, sausage, onion, and bell pepper until meat is browned and vegetables are softened. Drain excess grease.

Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

3 Assemble the pie:

Roll out one pie crust and press it into a 9-inch pie pan. Spoon half of the meat mixture into the crust. Top with half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, and pepperoni slices. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.

4 Add the top crust:

Cover the pie with the second crust. Trim and crimp edges to seal. Cut small slits in the top for steam to escape.

5 Bake:

Place the pie on a baking sheet to catch any drips and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.

6 Rest and serve:

Let the pie rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with a side salad or garlic bread.

Pro Tip: For extra flavor, sprinkle the top crust with Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese before baking!
