Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole
This creamy and cheesy twist on the classic Chicken Cordon Bleu is easy to make and packed with comforting flavors. Perfect for weeknight dinners or potlucks!
Ingredients:
3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
1 1/2 cups diced cooked ham
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese (or mozzarella if preferred)
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Topping:
1 1/2 cups crushed Ritz crackers or panko breadcrumbs
2 tbsp melted butter
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
1 Preheat oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2 Prepare the sauce:
In a medium saucepan, combine cream cheese, heavy cream, chicken broth, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Heat over medium, stirring until smooth and creamy.
3 Assemble the casserole:
Spread the cooked chicken evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Layer diced ham over the chicken. Pour the creamy sauce over the top and sprinkle evenly with shredded Swiss cheese.
