2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
2 ½ teaspoons baking powder

1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
1 ¾ cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs

1 cup crushed pineapple (drained, reserve juice)
For the Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2–3 tablespoons pineapple juice (reserved from the canned pineapple)
Instructions:
Prepare the Cake Batter:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8- or 9-inch round cake pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Stir in the vanilla extract and crushed pineapple.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Bake:
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
