Rotel Cream Cheese Sausage Balls

Ingredients:

1 lb breakfast sausage (mild or spicy)

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 ½ tsp baking powder

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder

¼ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions:

 

1 Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

 

2 Mix the sausage and cream cheese: In a large bowl, combine the breakfast sausage and softened cream cheese. Use your hands or a spoon to mix until smooth.

 

3 Add the Rotel: Stir in the drained Rotel tomatoes and green chilies, mixing well.

 

4 Combine the dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

 

5 Form the sausage balls: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the sausage mixture. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and mix until everything is evenly combined. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

 

6 Bake the sausage balls: Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

7 Serve and enjoy: Let the sausage balls cool for a few minutes before serving. These are perfect as appetizers or a party snack!
