Recipe:
Ingredients:
4 cups (500g) all-purpose flour
1/4 cup (50g) sugar
1 tsp salt
2 1/4 tsp (1 packet) instant yeast
1 cup (240ml) warm milk (about 110°F/43°C)
1/4 cup (60g) unsalted butter, softened
1 large egg
Instructions:
Prepare the Dough:
In a mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
Add the softened butter and egg, mixing well.
Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
Knead:
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes, or until smooth and elastic. Alternatively, use a stand mixer with a dough hook for 5-7 minutes.
First Rise:
Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
Shape the Rolls:
Punch down the dough and divide it into equal portions (about 20-24 pieces). Shape each portion into a smooth ball and place them in a greased baking dish.
Second Rise:
Cover the rolls with a towel and let them rise again for 30-45 minutes, or until puffed up.
Bake:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Brush the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds on top (optional).
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serve:
Brush the warm rolls with additional butter for extra shine and flavor. Serve immediately.
Enjoy these delightful dinner rolls warm, and fresh from the oven!
