Surf and Turf with Cajun Shrimp and Creamy Sauce

Ingredients:

For the Steak:

• 2 filet mignons (6 ounces each)

• 1 tablespoon olive oil

• Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Cajun Shrimp:

• 6 large shrimp, peeled and deveined

• 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning

• 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Creamy Sauce:

• 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

• 2 garlic cloves, minced

• 1/2 cup heavy cream

• 1/4 cup chicken or seafood broth

• 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

• 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning

• Fresh parsley for garnish

Directions:

1 Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Rub the steaks with olive oil and season generously with salt and black pepper. Sear for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or cook to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let rest.

2 In the same skillet, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil. Toss the shrimp in Cajun seasoning and cook for 2 minutes per side until pink and fully cooked. Set aside.

3 Reduce the heat to medium and melt the butter in the skillet. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in the chicken or seafood broth, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle in Cajun seasoning and cook for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens.

4 Plate the steaks and top with the cooked Cajun shrimp. Spoon the creamy sauce over the top and garnish with fresh parsley.
