Ingredients

For the Chicken:
– 4 chicken breasts , boneless & skinless
– 4 slices ham
– 4 slices Swiss cheese (or Gruyère)
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 1/2 cup flour (for dredging)
– 2 large eggs , beaten
– 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
– 2 tablespoons olive oil (for searing)
For the Creamy Sauce:
– 2 tablespoons butter
– 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1/2 cup chicken broth
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
– Salt & pepper, to taste
– 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese , grated

Instructions

1. Prepare the Chicken:
– Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) .
– Slice a pocket into each chicken breast , being careful not to cut all the way through.
– Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper .
– Stuff each breast with a slice of ham and Swiss cheese . Secure with toothpicks if needed.
2. Bread the Chicken: Crack Chicken Tenders
– Dredge each stuffed chicken breast in flour , then dip into the beaten eggs .
– Coat with panko breadcrumbs to get a crispy crust.
3. Sear the Chicken:
– Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
– Sear each chicken breast for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
– Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes , or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should be 165°F).
