The BEST Banana Bread Cookies (Only 6 Ingredients!) – Soft, Sweet & Irresistible
If banana bread and cookies had a baby, this would be it. Warm, soft, and packed with banana flavor, these cookies are pure comfort in every bite. And the best part? You only need 6 simple ingredients and 15 minutes from start to finish!
When I handed my husband one fresh out of the oven, he took a bite… then another… and then stood at the counter eating four more before I could blink. Yep, they’re that good.
 Ingredients (Just 6!)
- 1 ripe banana (the riper, the better!)
- ½ cup sugar (white, brown, or a mix of both)
- ¼ cup melted butter (or coconut oil for a dairy-free version)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional but highly recommended!)
Optional Add-ins: 1 tsp vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, ½ cup chocolate chips, chopped walnuts, or pecans.
How to Make Banana Bread Cookies
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, mash the banana until smooth.
- Stir in the sugar and melted butter. Mix well.
- Add the flour, baking soda, and cinnamon. Stir until just combined — don’t overmix!
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart. The dough will be soft, but that’s perfect!
- Bake for 9 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers look just set.
- Let the cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
