Perfect for parties, game nights, school lunches, or anytime you’re craving comfort food with minimal effort. You can bake a batch in under 30 minutes and serve them up with your favorite dipping sauce!

 Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
  • 1 tube refrigerated biscuit dough or crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Optional toppings: sesame seeds, Italian herbs, or everything bagel seasoning
  • Dipping sauces: ketchup, marinara, ranch, or cheese sauce

 Instructions:

1. Preheat and Prep

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.

2. Cook the Beef Filling

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until browned and fully cooked, about 6–8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Once cooled, stir in the shredded cheese until well combined.

3. Fill the Dough

Open the biscuit or crescent dough and separate into individual pieces. Flatten each piece slightly with your fingers or a rolling pin.
Add a spoonful of the beef and cheese mixture to the center of each dough round.

4. Seal and Shape

Fold the edges of the dough over the filling and pinch to seal completely, forming a ball or pocket.
Place each filled bite seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

5. Add the Egg Wash

Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a shiny, golden finish when baked. Sprinkle with optional toppings for extra flavor and texture.

6. Bake to Perfection

Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until the bites are puffed and golden brown.

7. Serve Hot!

Serve immediately while warm and gooey, with dipping sauces on the side. These are delicious plain, but the right sauce can elevate them even more!

 Storage & Reheating Tips:

  • To Store: Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • To Freeze: You can freeze them before baking or after. To freeze unbaked, assemble and freeze on a tray, then transfer to a bag. To bake from frozen, add 3–5 extra minutes.
  • To Reheat: Reheat in the oven or air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 5–7 minutes for the best texture.

 Tips & Variations:

  • Cheese Ideas: Try pepper jack for a spicy twist, or add a cube of cream cheese in the center for extra creaminess.
  • Veggie Add-ins: Add finely chopped bell peppers, mushrooms, or spinach to the beef mix.
  • Other Proteins: Swap the beef for shredded chicken, turkey, or even vegetarian crumbles.
  • Make It a Meal: Serve with a fresh salad, soup, or roasted veggies for a full dinner.
