Lazy Girl Pecan Pie Bars
 Ingredients:
For the crust:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 tsp salt
For the filling:
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups chopped or whole pecans (your choice)

Directions:
Step 1: Make the crust
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together melted butter, flour, brown sugar, and salt until it forms a soft, crumbly dough.
- Press the dough evenly into the bottom of your pan.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes until lightly golden. Set aside to cool slightly.
Step 2: Make the filling
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs until smooth.
- Add corn syrup, dark brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and salt. Stir until well combined.
- Fold in the pecans gently.
Step 3: Assemble and bake
- Pour the filling over the baked crust.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is set and slightly cracked.
- Let cool completely in the pan before slicing (at least 2 hours is best for clean cuts).
