Crispy Honey Mustard Chicken Recipe
If you love golden, crunchy chicken coated in a sweet and tangy glaze, this recipe will win your heart. Juicy chicken breasts, breaded and fried until crispy, are drizzled with a rich honey mustard sauce that’s perfect for dipping too.
 Ingredients
For the Chicken:
- 4 chicken breasts (whole or cut into medium fillets)
- 2 cups breadcrumbs (panko works best for extra crunch)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
For the Honey Mustard Sauce:
- ½ cup honey
- 3 tbsp Dijon mustard (or yellow mustard)
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
- Pinch of salt & pepper
- Fresh or dried parsley for garnish
 Instructions
1. Prepare the Chicken:
- Wash and pat dry the chicken breasts.
- In a shallow bowl, mix the flour with half of the spices.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs with a little salt and pepper.
- In a third bowl, combine breadcrumbs with the remaining spices.
- Dredge each chicken piece in flour, then dip in egg, then coat fully in breadcrumbs.
- Place coated chicken on a tray, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 20 minutes (this helps the coating stick).
2. Fry the Chicken:
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to about 350°F (180°C).
- Gently place the chicken pieces in the hot oil.
- Fry for 5–6 minutes per side, until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Transfer to paper towels to drain excess oil.
3. Make the Sauce:
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, mustard, mayonnaise, and vinegar.
- Taste and adjust by adding more honey for sweetness or mustard for tanginess.
- Chill in the fridge for 10 minutes for best flavor.
4. Serve:
- Arrange crispy chicken on a serving platter.
- Drizzle with honey mustard sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley.
- Serve with extra sauce on the side for dipping.
 Tips:
- For a healthier option, bake the chicken at 400°F (200°C) for 25 minutes, brushing with oil for crispiness.
- Add a spoon of whole grain mustard for extra texture.
- Serve with fries, rice, or in a sandwich.
