Crispy Fried Chicken Wings with Spaghetti and Fresh Caesar Salad
The Ultimate Comfort Meal Everyone Will Love!
This meal brings together three classics — golden, crunchy fried chicken wings, buttery spaghetti served as a side dish (yes, that’s a real thing!), and a fresh Caesar salad for balance. It’s the perfect mix of comfort, crunch, and freshness that makes everyone ask for seconds.
Fried Chicken Wings (Crispy & Juicy Every Time)
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds (1 kg) chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
- 1 cup buttermilk (or 1 cup milk + 1 tbsp lemon juice)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup cornstarch (for extra crunch)
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions:
- Marinate the chicken:
In a large bowl, mix the buttermilk, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken wings, making sure they’re well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight is best). - Prepare the coating:
In another bowl, mix the flour and cornstarch with a pinch of salt and pepper. - Dredge the wings:
Remove each wing from the marinade, shake off the excess liquid, then coat it in the flour mixture. Press gently so the coating sticks well. Let them rest on a tray for 10–15 minutes — this helps the crust stay on during frying. - Heat the oil:
Pour oil into a deep skillet or pot and heat to 350°F (175°C). - Fry until golden:
Fry the wings in batches for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally, until crispy and golden brown. Remove and place on a wire rack or paper towels to drain excess oil. - Optional:
Toss the wings in buffalo, honey garlic, or BBQ sauce for extra flavor — or keep them classic and crispy!
Spaghetti Side Dish (Simple, Buttery & Savory)
Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) spaghetti
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large pan, melt butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the pan. Toss to coat evenly.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm alongside the fried chicken.
Tip:
This spaghetti is meant to be simple, buttery, and slightly garlicky — the perfect sidekick to rich, crispy fried chicken.
Fresh Caesar Salad (Crisp & Creamy)
Ingredients:
- 1 large romaine lettuce, chopped
- ½ cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup croutons
- Optional: ½ grilled chicken breast or bacon bits for extra protein
Homemade Caesar Dressing (optional):
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Whisk all dressing ingredients together until smooth.
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, add chopped romaine lettuce.
- Drizzle with Caesar dressing and toss until evenly coated.
- Add croutons and Parmesan cheese. Toss again lightly.
- Serve chilled next to your wings and spaghetti for a perfect balance.
Serving Idea:
Arrange your plate beautifully — crispy wings on one side, a small mound of buttery spaghetti on the other, and a cool, crunchy Caesar salad to complete the trio. The flavors play off each other perfectly — salty, creamy, fresh, and comforting all at once.
