Ingredients
- 4 thick 1-inch pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
- 4 tbsp brown sugar, packed
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for searing)
- Optional: garlic powder or paprika for extra depth
Instructions
1 Prepare the Pork Chops
Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides lightly with salt and black pepper. If you like extra flavor, add a pinch of garlic powder or paprika.
2 Sear the Pork Chops
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil.
Place pork chops in the pan and sear for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
3 Make the Brown Sugar Glaze
Reduce heat to medium.
Add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, stir in:
- Brown sugar
- Soy sauce
- Worcestershire sauce
Cook for 1–2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce becomes smooth and glossy.
4 Finish Cooking
Return the pork chops to the skillet. Spoon the sauce over them.
Lower heat to medium-low, cover, and cook for 6–8 minutes, flipping once, until pork is cooked through (internal temp 145°F / 63°C).
5 Rest & Serve
Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes. The sauce will thicken slightly and coat the pork beautifully.
