  • 4 medium apples (Golden or Gala), peeled and diced
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 pinch of salt

French Toast

  • 6 to 8 slices of brioche or thick sliced white bread

Detailed Preparation

1. Prepare the caramelized apples

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the diced apples and gently stir to coat them well.
  • Sprinkle with brown sugar, a pinch of salt, and cinnamon.
  • Cook for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are very tender and covered in a golden, glossy caramel.
  • Keep warm.

2. Prepare the French toast mixture

  • In a large bowl, whisk the eggs with the milk, sugar, and vanilla.
  • The mixture should be smooth and slightly frothy.

3. Cook the French toast
