Cheesy Sausage and Broccoli Pasta paired with flaky Crescent Rolls

Cheesy Sausage and Broccoli Pasta paired with flaky Crescent Rolls – the perfect comfort meal for any night!

Ingredients:

8 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
1 lb ground Italian sausage
2 cups broccoli florets
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup heavy cream
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 can (8 oz) crescent rolls
2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions:

Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the crescent roll package.
Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground sausage and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Stir in the broccoli florets and cook for about 5 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, onion powder, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine, ensuring the pasta is fully coated in the sauce.
Transfer the pasta mixture to a baking dish and bake the crescent rolls according to the package instructions.
Serve the cheesy sausage and broccoli pasta alongside the warm, flaky crescent rolls.
