Crockpot French Onion Meatloaf with Melted Swiss Cheese – A savory twist on a classic comfort dish!

Ingredients:

– 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
– 1 packet (1 oz) French onion soup mix
– 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
– 1/4 cup milk
– 1 egg, beaten
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
– 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
– 1 large onion, thinly sliced
– 2 tablespoons butter

Directions:

1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, French onion soup mix, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.
2. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place in the crockpot.
3. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, then add the sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes. Pour the onions over the meatloaf.
4. Drizzle Worcestershire sauce over the onions and meatloaf.
5. Cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
6. During the last 30 minutes of cooking, sprinkle shredded Swiss cheese on top of the meatloaf and cover. Let the cheese melt until bubbly.
