Bacon Brown Sugar Chicken Tenders
These crispy, juicy chicken tenders wrapped in bacon and glazed with brown sugar are the perfect combination of savory and sweet. Ideal for a fun appetizer or a main dish that everyone will love!
Ingredients:
1 lb chicken tenders (about 8-10 tenders)
8-10 slices of bacon
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional, for a little heat)
Directions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Wrap the Chicken:
Wrap each chicken tender with a slice of bacon, making sure to secure the ends underneath the tender. Set aside.
Prepare the Brown Sugar Mixture:
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper if using. Mix well.
Coat the Tenders:
Roll each bacon-wrapped chicken tender in the brown sugar mixture, coating evenly. Place the coated tenders on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C).
For extra crispiness, you can broil the tenders for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end, keeping a close eye so they don’t burn.
Serve:
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve these sweet and smoky tenders with your favorite dipping sauce like ranch, honey mustard, or BBQ.
These Bacon Brown Sugar Chicken Tenders are sure to be a hit at your next gathering or family dinner! Enjoy the balance of crispy bacon, juicy chicken, and the caramelized sweetness of brown sugar.
