Cheesy Beefy Rolls
These Cheesy Beefy Rolls are loaded with seasoned beef, gooey melted cheese, and wrapped in soft dough. A perfect snack or dinner idea that’s easy, filling, and oh-so-satisfying!
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 package refrigerated crescent rolls (or pizza dough)
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tablespoon taco seasoning (or your favorite seasoning blend)
1/4 cup salsa (optional)
1 egg, beaten (for brushing)
Sour cream and extra salsa for dipping
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cook the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain any excess grease. Add the diced onion and garlic, cooking until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the taco seasoning and salsa (if using) and cook for another minute or two.
Assemble the rolls:
Roll out the crescent roll dough (or pizza dough) and separate into triangles if using crescent rolls.
Sprinkle a bit of cheddar cheese on each piece of dough.
Add a spoonful of the beef mixture on top, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Roll up the dough, starting at the wide end, and place on the prepared baking sheet.
Brush with egg wash: Lightly brush the tops of the rolls with beaten egg to give them a golden finish.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve warm with sour cream and extra salsa on the side for dipping.
Tips:
You can add extra toppings inside the rolls, like jalapeños, chopped bell peppers, or cooked bacon for more flavor.
For a quick dip, mix sour cream with a little salsa or hot sauce for a zesty kick.
