Taco Macaroni and Cheese
This creamy, cheesy, and taco-flavored macaroni dish is the ultimate comfort meal with a twist!
Ingredients:
2 cups elbow macaroni
1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup milk
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
1 Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2 In a large skillet, cook the ground beef until browned, then add taco seasoning and diced tomatoes. Stir to combine.
3 In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour, then gradually add milk, stirring until thickened.
4 Add shredded cheese to the sauce, stirring until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
5 Combine the cheese sauce, cooked macaroni, and seasoned beef in a large pot. Stir until everything is coated in the cheesy taco goodness.
