Easy Cream Cheese Wontons
These crispy and creamy cream cheese wontons are a perfect appetizer for any occasion!
Ingredients:
– 6 oz crab meat, drained
– 8 oz cream cheese, softened
– ½ tsp onion powder
– ½ tsp garlic powder
– 2 tbsp mayo
– 1 tsp soy sauce
– 24 small wonton wrappers
– vegetable oil, for frying
Directions:
1. Preheat the vegetable oil to 350 degrees F. in a heavy bottomed pot or deep fryer.
2. Combine the crab meat, cream cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, mayo and soy sauce in a bowl and mix together.
3. Drop a full teaspoon full of filling into the center of a wonton wrapper. Dab your finger in water and run it along the edges of the wrapper. Fold the wonton wrapper up, making sure to enclose the filling, and seal the edges.
4. Fry in batches of 4 or 5 wrappers for 3 to 4 minutes each, until they’re golden brown. Remove from oil to a wire rack to drain off any excess oil. Serve hot.
