Crockpot Chicken and Gravy

Ultimate Comfort Slow Cooker Chicken and Gravy

Ingredients:

3-4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
2 packets (0.87 ounce each) chicken gravy mix
1 can (10.5 ounce) cream of chicken soup
1 can (14.5 ounce) chicken broth
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard (optional)

Instructions:

Prepare the Crockpot: Spray the inside of the crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.
Season the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then place them in the crockpot.
Mix the Gravy: In a small bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, gravy mix packets, chicken broth, and mustard (if using) until smooth. Pour over the chicken in the crockpot.
Cook: Seal the crockpot and set to cook on low for 6-8 hours.
Shred and Serve: Once the chicken is cooked and tender, remove it and shred with two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the crockpot, mixing well with the gravy.
Finish and Serve: Serve the chicken and gravy over cooked rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes.
Tips:
Shredding the chicken is easier with a handheld mixer set to low to avoid splattering.
For a thicker gravy, you can make a slurry with one tablespoon of cornstarch and one tablespoon of cold water, mix into the crockpot, and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
