Puff Pastry with Cheese and Turkey

Ingredients:

2 sheets of puff pastry

200g smoked turkey slices

200g Swiss or Emmental cheese slices

1 egg (beaten, for brushing)

2 tbsp milk

1 tsp dried thyme (optional)

1 tsp sesame seeds or black seeds for garnish

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Pastry: Lay one sheet of puff pastry on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

2. Add the Filling: Arrange the turkey slices evenly over the pastry, then layer the cheese slices on top.

3. Seal the Pastry: Place the second puff pastry sheet over the filling, pressing the edges gently to seal.

4. Cut & Garnish: Brush the top with the egg and milk mixture, then sprinkle thyme or sesame seeds.

5. Bake: Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy.
