Amish Hamburger Steak Bake – A Cozy, Hearty Classic!
This old-fashioned, comforting dish brings together juicy hamburger steaks smothered in a rich, savory gravy and baked to perfection. A simple, satisfying meal that’s perfect with mashed potatoes or buttered noodles! Just like Grandma used to make!
Ingredients:
1 ½ lbs ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
½ cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp salt & pepper
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
1 ½ cups beef broth
½ cup heavy cream
Directions:
1 Make the Patties
In a bowl, mix ground beef, onion, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into patties.
2 Brown the Steaks

3 Make the Gravy
In the same skillet, melt butter, whisk in flour, and cook for 1-2 minutes. Slowly add beef broth and heavy cream, stirring until thickened.
4 Bake to Perfection
Pour the gravy over the patties. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
5 Serve & Enjoy
Plate up with mashed potatoes, buttered noodles, or crusty bread to soak up all that rich, creamy gravy!
