Crispy Chicken with Creamy Parmesan Sauce
Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (Panko preferred)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Cooking oil for frying
For Garnish:
- Fresh chopped parsle
- For the Creamy Sauce:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream (or cooking cream)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Pinch of nutmeg (optional)
- Instructions:
1. Prepare the Chicken:
- If the chicken breasts are thick, slice them in half lengthwise.
- Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Set up three bowls:
- First bowl: flour.
- Second bowl: beaten eggs mixed with milk.
- Third bowl: breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese.
- Coat each chicken piece in flour, then dip in egg mixture, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
2. Fry the Chicken:
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry the chicken pieces until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
- Place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
3. Make the Creamy Sauce:
- In a pan, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add the cream and let it warm up.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg (if using).
- Cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
4. Serve:
- Slice the chicken and serve it on top of the sauce or drizzle the sauce over it.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
