Bacon Mushroom Swiss Cheese Meatloaf

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef
1 cup cooked bacon (chopped)
1 cup mushrooms (finely chopped)
1/2 cup onion (finely chopped)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup Swiss cheese (shredded)
1/4 cup milk
1 large egg
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 cup ketchup (for topping)
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
Sauté Vegetables: In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped mushrooms and onion until softened. Allow to cool slightly.
Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped bacon, sautéed mushrooms and onion, breadcrumbs, Swiss cheese, milk, egg, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
Shape the Loaf: Transfer the mixture to the prepared loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf.
Add Ketchup Topping: Spread ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
Bake: Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
Rest and Serve: Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
