Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Steak:
2 ribeye steaks (about 1-inch thick)
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Shrimp:
1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
1/4 cup unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Directions:
Let the ribeye steaks come to room temperature for 30 minutes. Pat them dry with paper towels, then season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a cast-iron skillet or heavy-bottomed pan over medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once hot, sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust the time to your desired doneness. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let rest.
In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and toss the shrimp with paprika, cayenne (if using), salt, and pepper. Sear the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side or until pink and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter to the skillet, stirring until melted. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in parsley and lemon juice.
Return the steaks and shrimp to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over the top. Let everything warm for 1-2 minutes before serving.
Plate the steaks with shrimp on top or on the side. Drizzle with additional garlic butter sauce if desired.
