1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
4 cups sizzling water
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
nutmeg for garnish
Preheat oven to 325°F. Mix condensed milk and sizzling water in a big glass or steel bowl.
In a separate bowl beat eggs till mild in coloration and fluffy in texture. Pour a little bit of the recent milk combination into eggs to mood, then mix them absolutely. Stir in vanilla and salt. Pour into ramekins and place on baking pan with excessive sides. Or use a 2-quart baking dish as an alternative.
Place pan in oven and fill with half inch of water. Bake for 1 hour or till a knife inserted in heart comes out clear. If utilizing bigger baking dish bake for 1 hour 40 minutes.
Permit custard to chill for 1 hour. Sprinkle with nutmeg and serve heat or refrigerate to serve chilled.
